住宅密集地に建つコの字型のコートハウスです。
周辺環境の建物配置や視線の流れを丁寧に読み解き、外部からのプライバシーをしっかりと確保しながらも、住まいの内部からは心地よい「視線の抜け」を生み出す設計としています。
都市にありながら、静けさと開放感を両立させた住まいです。
住まいの中心となるのは、重量感のある石組みで構成された庭。家のさまざまな場所からこの庭を望めるよう計画されており、時間帯や季節によって移ろう表情を日常の中で楽しむことができます。
吹抜けのあるリビングには大きな北向きの窓を設け、高木の全景を切り取るように配置しました。安定した柔らかな光が室内を満たし、外部の緑と一体となった開放的な空間をつくっています。
2階は、眺望を楽しめるライブラリーを中心とした構成。
落ち着いた読書スペースから、コンパクトにまとめられた個室や水回りへとスムーズにアクセスできる機能的なプランです。
都市の中で、自然を感じながら穏やかに暮らすことを意図した住宅です。

This is a U-shaped courtyard house built in a densely populated residential neighborhood.
The design carefully interprets the surrounding building layout and lines of sight, ensuring privacy from the outside while creating pleasant visual openness from within. Although located in the city, the house achieves both tranquility and a sense of spaciousness.
At the heart of the home is a garden composed of substantial stonework. It is planned so that the garden can be viewed from various points throughout the house, allowing residents to enjoy its changing expressions throughout the day and across the seasons as part of everyday life.
The living room, which features a double-height ceiling, is fitted with a large north-facing window positioned to frame the full view of a tall tree. Soft, consistent natural light fills the interior, creating an open space that feels integrated with the surrounding greenery.
The second floor is organized around a library designed to take advantage of the view. From this calm reading space, there is smooth and efficient access to compact private rooms and wet areas.
This residence is intended to offer a peaceful way of living in the city while remaining closely connected to nature.
